Director, Business Development

The Business Development Director at DEUIT will identify and grow new/existing client relationships. In this role, you will lead the creation, proposal, and winning of new contracts by matching the clients’ needs with DEUIT program offerings. Focused on new program initiation, The Director will cultivate relationships with decision makers and influencers to achieve account revenue goals.

 

The Director must understand, and champion, DEUIT's culture of empowerment and business success factors at large. To clients, you will impart your extensive knowledge of DEUIT's value across product and service design, strategy, technology, and education.

 

The Role

  • Build initial and lasting impressions with clients interested in creating relationships with DEUIT.

  • Control and communicate the new business funnel, providing accurate and timely reporting of all new project opportunities to the executive team.

  • Close on client commitments to new projects, ensuring timely signatures on Statements of Work.

  • Take part in the creation and execution of account strategy in collaboration with other key DEUIT account leads.

  • Contribute to account plans and reviews, reporting, project kickoffs, and key project deliverable read-outs.

  • Achieve annual revenue contribution goals and new client acquisition targets.

  • Work well within the existing matrix organization and receiving high peer evaluations as a team player 

 

The Candidate

  • Minimum of ten years of demonstrated successful consulting services or solution sales experience in high-end major national/global accounts; verifiable track record of exceeding expectations.

  • The ability to solve problems and create complex presentations of the solution (not just respond to RFPs)

  • The ability to lead strategy for a new client opportunity and be ready and able to lead the big meeting when it happens

  • Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, both with clients and internal teams

  • A network of colleagues and past clients who greatly respect you

  • A dedication to excellence, and the ability to become a trusted advisor to DEUIT's clients
